Free State Reporting, Inc. provides fast, affordable, and reliable court reporting and transcription services. In business for over 30 years, Free State Reporting Inc. began as a freelance reporting service and was incorporated in 1982 in the State of Maryland by our President, Barbara Becker. Free State has grown into a nationwide court reporting firm producing 50,000 to 80,000 pages a month.

Free State performs over 10,000 reporting/transcription assignments annually, a body of work that includes large public hearings, administrative and adjudicative hearings, depositions, investigative interviews, telephone proceedings, grand jury proceedings, as well as transcription of government-furnished tapes, undercover tapes, and other transcription assignments.

Currently performing court reporting assignments on a regional and national basis, Free State manages various contracts and multiple hearings on a daily basis, with many nationwide assignments.
